2nd Lieutenant Jonathan Carlos Bracho-Cooke
Jonny was killed on
the 5th February 2007 whilst serving with his regiment, the
Duke of Lancaster's in Basra, Iraq .
He was a fun and friendly young officer with
boundless energy, so in his memory Laura, Lucy and Simon have
decided to run
four 10km runs from
April to July 2008.
In doing so they hope to raise £15,000 for BLESMA
(British Limbless Ex-Servicemen's Association), a charity that
provides support and care for amputees and other disabled
ex-service personnel.
We are very touched to
announce that James Harding, Gemma Smith and
James Pennick (Jonny's friends from school) have
decided to run the Berlin Marathon on 28th
September 2008 in aid of joggingforjonny. This is a MASSIVE
challenge and I wish them the very best of luck.
